SPECAFlex Mining Cables for Demanding Conditions

SPECAFlex cables are designed for the specific requirements of mining applications. In mining environments, cables are exposed to mechanical stress such as abrasion, heavy machinery running over cables, and stretching or damage caused by reeling. The cables may also be exposed to oils, fuels, hydraulic oils, UV radiation in open-pit mines, and varying temperatures.
SPECAFlex cables are available with different features for different applications. Special models (TS, TS+, TS AT, TS AT HD) are developed for demanding use cases: they provide enhanced tensile strength for heavy loads, increased torsion and wear resistance for dynamic applications, and improved mechanical durability for harsh conditions. The cables are suitable for both general use and applications requiring exceptional performance.

SPECAFlex cables are developed with safety as a primary objective. The red inner sheath clearly contrasts with the yellow outer sheath, making damage easy to detect. The outer sheath can also be repaired in field conditions when required.
The cables are halogen-free and flame-retardant. They comply with the RoHS2 Directive 2011/65/EU on restricted substances. The operating temperature range is -30 °C to +90 °C and the rated voltage is 0.6/1 kV.
SPECAFlex cables are suitable for both fixed and flexible installations, such as mining feeder cables and reeling applications. The cables can be customised to meet customer requirements, including size, outer sheath colour, markings and technical specifications. When required, the cables can also be equipped with tinned conductors for improved corrosion resistance.
