Controllers and relays for safe machine operation
The samos® PRO is a modular and programmable safety controller designed with a wide range of safety functions—it is suited for applications ranging from small machines to entire production lines and meets the strictest industry standards. The controller supports common industrial communication protocols such as PROFINET, EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP, while its compact design saves space in control panels.
Safety functions are configured using the licence-free samos® PLAN6 software, which simplifies system design and commissioning. The software includes TÜV-certified function blocks and enables simulation and documentation, all within a single tool.
For simpler applications, such as emergency stop control or light curtain monitoring, the Safe Relay series is a reliable and cost-effective solution. The dual-channel SNO and single-channel SNA models ensure the dependable operation of individual safety functions. LED indicators simplify status monitoring and maintenance, and both relay families comply with SIL 3 and PL e requirements.
Visible safety with an invisible boundary
The sensor PRO series of light curtains (SLC4) and light grids (SLG4) offer optoelectronic protection that reacts immediately when the monitored area is crossed. Light curtains detect small objects such as a hand or finger, while light grids identify larger objects such as a person. This prevents accidents and supports safe operation on production lines, in robotic systems, and other automated environments. Installation and commissioning are straightforward. Pre-assembled M12 cables, the clear LED display, and the integrated laser alignment aid speed up setup and ensure reliable performance even under demanding industrial conditions.
Switches and emergency stops complete the system
Sensor PRO safety and magnetic switches ensure that doors, protective covers, and other safety guards are properly closed before the machine starts up. They are widely used in machinery and equipment manufacturing and are available in various sizes, holding forces, and protection classes.
The sensor PRO emergency-stop devices complete the safety concept by ensuring immediate shutdown in an emergency. Different versions are available for mounting on surfaces or panels, with or without key release. Their robust design and easy operation guarantee dependable performance when it matters most.
